ELEKS Quality Assurance Office is looking for a Senior BI Test Engineer in Poland and Croatia.

To support the ongoing development of the global analytics capability for our Client we are currently looking for a Senior BI Test Engineer. Test Engineer will be responsible for developing an effective testing process for development work following developer unit testing, documenting outcomes of testing and providing support to the business insight analysts to gain sign-off for the development work to be released into production.

REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of experience working as a testing engineer in a fast-moving, agile, software delivery environment
Experience of creating/working with a structured testing process, collaborating with others
Experienced in creating testing documentation, including process, test scenarios and outcomes, and overall testing performance reporting for management
Microsoft tools expertise, to include Office, in particular Excel
Experience with MS Azure cloud infrastructure, Azure SQL Server and MS SQL server on-premises
Experience with DevOps (to include test module), CI/CD for databases
Upper-Intermediate/Advanced level of English – both written and oral
Ability to build an effective testing process from scratch, working alongside experienced business intelligence developers

WILL BE A PLUS

Skills to create and amend PowerBi visualizations, paginated reports, and SSRS reports
Knowledge and/or practical usage of T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, ADF
DAX, PowerShell
DWH and ETL principle knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement and execute tests at all planned levels, log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
Use tests administration, monitoring, and management tools
Create, validate, update test documentation (test cases, test plan, etc).
Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications to convert them into quality control process artefacts
Review test artefacts developed by others
Prepare and acquire test data
Contribute to general project quality assurance process
Analyse/improve/establish test process on a project
Analyse coverage for project test basis
Define relevant metrics for project
Define, prioritize and estimate needed Test Efforts
Define defect and test-case handling process
Define appropriate test-ware/environment for a project
Teach and mentor other test engineers
Measure performance of components and systems (if applicable)
Automate testing whenever applicable (supported by test automation expert)
