We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead QA Engineer with expertise in implementing "shift left testing" methodologies and automation to join our team and contribute to the development of an innovative browser security product. The solution combines advanced encryption schemes with a seamless, password-free user experience to provide file-level security that operating systems and cloud service providers don’t offer.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our commercial team, product manager, and head of engineering to streamline the testing process for new features. The primary responsibility will be to identify functional and non-functional requirements during requirement analysis, ensuring a seamless transition for the QA team when features are ready for testing.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the QA team's understanding of upcoming features and testing methodologies. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in implementing additional automation technologies for load and performance testing.
- 5+ years of experience in QA roles, with a focus on implementing "shift left testing" and automation;
- At least 3 years of experience in a Lead QA position;
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Playwright for web application testing, ensuring compatibility and functionality across different browsers and platforms;
- In-depth knowledge of GUI automation testing tools like RainforestQA;
- Familiarity with API testing tools including Karate, Postman, and RestAssured, for comprehensive testing of RESTful APIs and web services;
- Experience in integrating automation technologies into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines;
- Knowledge of load testing tools such as JMeter and performance testing frameworks like BlazeMeter for assessing application performance under various load conditions;
- Proficiency in implementing "shift left" testing methodologies and automation techniques to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness;
- Experience in implementing automation technologies for load and performance testing;
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate QA teams, foster collaboration, and achieve project goals;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, facilitating effective coordination with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners;
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborate with the commercial team, product manager, and development head to identify functional and non-functional requirements during requirement analysis;
- Advocate for the inclusion of test data and test tools into the development process, ensuring smooth testing experiences for the QA team;
- Work closely with the current QA manager to communicate upcoming features and testing methodologies to the QA team;
- Lead efforts to implement "shift left testing" methodologies and automation technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness;
- Explore and integrate new automation technologies in supporting load and performance testing requirements;
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring effective communication and cooperation among team members;
- Continuous learning mindset, keeping abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the field of quality assurance and automation.
