GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced BSW Platform Services Design Engineer to join our engineering team.

Requirements:

5 years of embedded software development experience in C or C++
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting embedded software on target hardware. Embedded – does not have to be Automotive
Professional development experience using QNX Neutrino or Green Hills Integrity or Embedded Linux or equivalent RTOS
Needs to have experience whit creating code documentation: detailed design/ SAD – it is to confirm that is able to read and write diagrams with UML, which most Senior do anyways
Experience working on embedded target platform services like diagnostics, logging & Tracing, client-server & other IPC mechanism
Team player, self-motivated, and driven for results
Travel including international up to 25%
Good communication skills and the ability to interface with Algorithm developers, vehicle integration, and validation engineering organizations
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development process
Nice to have skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering field
AUTOSAR (Adaptive) concepts, architecture, specifications, and configuration tools
Experience in an Automotive domain
Experience with SW integration & configuration tools (e.g. Emulators, Debuggers, CANoe/CANalyzer)
Experience working with continuous integration systems and ALM tools and script automation
Knowledge and experience with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, SPI, and Ethernet communications protocols
Familiarity using trace capture tools & debuggers (Lauterbach)
Experience in Integrating Bootloaders, Embedded OS, OSEK, RTOS, and BSP development
Experience with industry cryptographic protocols, key handling, chain of trust processing, and anti-spoofing techniques
Experience integrating Tier I-II BSW, feature software, and automotive build/parse software into primary domain controller
Experience working with high-end performance microprocessors
Working knowledge of SOME/IP, DDS, or equivalent message-passing protocol
Understanding of ADAS software fundamentals
Experience in developing safety-critical embedded software functions within an IEC-61508, ISO-26262, or DO-178B development environment
Experience with authoring ASIL-compliant software code and use of functional safety code analysis tools
Experience with ARXML or equivalent embedded interface file generation
Familiarity of Automotive Product Development Process like ASPICE, V-model

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the design & architecture of the embedded software running on the target platforms for various domains like SAE Level 2, and 3 automated driving features, In-vehicle Infotainment, instrument clusters, etc. The primary duties include the design of target platform-specific services like communication, diagnostics, time sync mechanisms, network services, etc. including the configuration of middleware stacks and wrappers on high-performance ECUs. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of modern safety-critical electronic control units embedded software development and possess an interest in state-of-the-art automotive computing platforms and emerging computational technologies.
