We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and data-driven Technical Assistant to join the staff of our executive leadership team. As a partner to your assigned executive, you will have far-reaching impact across the organization with a front-row seat to the inner-workings of a high-growth startup. This is a strategic, 1-1 partnership that requires thoughtfulness, confidentiality, and a supreme bias for optimization. So, if you are looking to push your boundaries, work closely with leadership and the founders, to be the directly responsible individual in charge of the administrative strategy of a rapidly growing Silicon Valley startup — this position is for you.

What will you be doing?

Participating in meetings to produce concise and informative meeting minutes and clear action items;
Assisting and supporting a variety of ELT processes, ceremonies, and projects;
Helping our ELT (executive leadership team) with various administrative tasks and projects;
Represent the executive through phone, email and chat with internal and external stakeholders including investors, business partners, and c-level executives;
Overseeing scheduling (including coordinating on-site and off-site meetings);
Coordinating business trips (flights, housing, and other accommodations) as our ELT members frequently travel;
Special Projects: an executive role at a start-up includes gap filling for special projects across the organization. As a force multiplier to our leadership team, you will be involved in a variety of projects spanning all parts of Surprise.com. These projects could include location-based campaigns, internal initiatives, new market explorations, leading a team for a few weeks before a new leader is found, and more. Basically the things that are most important and/or requiring the leadership team's time will be the things you are involved with.

What we are looking for?

Bachelor's degree with demonstrated academic achievement (e.g. honors, Dean’s list, etc);
C1 (Advanced) proficiency in English with both strong written and verbal skills;
Prolific computer literacy – to succeed in this role you have to be an advanced user of technology (iOS / Mac ecosystem preferred) and business apps (Word, Excel, etc.);
Typing at 50+ wpm;
Upbeat nature with a positive, can-do attitude;
Data loving and data-driven personality;
Painstaking attention to detail along with an incredible work ethic with a strong internal drive to make an impact.

What skills will come in handy?

Experience working as an executive or technical assistant;
Ability to create order out of chaos. Hyper-organized but also flexible;
Career-focused and wanting to work hard in an impact-heavy role;
Experience working with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
