We are seeking a Senior Rust Backend Engineer to join our team in developing an EV Fleet Management product that compromises a robust suite of services facilitating the seamless transition to electric vehicle fleets. It offers functionalities like transition enablement, fleet optimization, charge planning, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Leveraging advanced algorithms and predictive analytics, our solution maximizes fleet efficiency and productivity, ensuring optimal charging schedules and proactive maintenance.

As a Senior Rust Backend Engineer, you will be a part of an international team of product developers dedicated to building solutions that add value to our customers. With a focus on doing things the right way, we collaborate closely, experiment, learn, and deliver value regularly. Our modern tech stack includes Rust, Kotlin, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of backend development experience, delivering high-quality solutions
Background in software architecture and design
Proficiency in Rust programming, emphasizing algorithmic competency
Strong grasp of databases, both relational and NoSQL
Expertise in software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
Ability to communicate in English

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Python for data science and scripting tasks
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Collaborative team player capable of leading technical initiatives and mentoring others
Scientific or mathematical background
Domain knowledge in the vehicle routing problem and logistics applications
Experience with RESTful APIs, microservice-based systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS

Job Responsibilities:

Being a part of the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and REST APIs for electric vehicle solutions
Collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Optimizing database schemas for performance and scalability
Implementing integrations with third-party APIs and services
Ensuring code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
Troubleshooting and debugging issues in production environments
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with product goals and company objectives
