We are looking for an Oracle DBA to help our client in providing top-notch Oracle and ERP solutions to enterprise clients across Africa.

Join our Client team, a leading IT outsourcing company based in South Africa, as they expand their operations into Eastern Europe. They specialize in providing top-notch Oracle and ERP solutions to enterprise clients across Africa.

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with over 12 years of expertise in Oracle database administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on high-availability, performance, and security, with extensive experience in Oracle R.12 environments. This role demands a highly skilled professional who can manage and optimize mission-critical Oracle databases, ensuring their reliability and efficiency. 

What you'll do in this role  

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Design, monitor, and tune databases to meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Manage large-scale, mission-critical Oracle databases for clients in various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and government.
• Ensure database security by implementing best practices and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing robust solutions to maintain system stability.
• Collaborate with technical teams and clients to ensure database requirements are met.

We're looking for

• Experience: 12+ years of Oracle database administration, with a focus on high-availability, performance, and security.
• Certifications:
  Certified Oracle Database Administrator.
  Certified Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) Administrator.
• Technical Skills:
  Expertise in database design, monitoring, tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Industry Experience: Proven track record of managing large-scale, mission-critical Oracle databases for clients in the financial services, healthcare, and government sectors.
• Skills:
  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  Upper-Intermediate level of English knowledge.
