We are looking for a highly motivated team lead engineer specializing in creating high-scale, distributed backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs.
• Actively participate in team meetings, discussions, and day-to-day activities to understand the operational environment.
• Gradually assume the responsibility of leading the team, and guiding them through projects and daily tasks.
• Drive the migration of large-scale, distributed trading services towards cloud-native microservices.
• Solve problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging.
• Build relationships with the team to foster collaboration and trust.
• Tackle technical challenges — performance, fault-tolerance, security, and live production issues.
• Work closely with product, DevOps\SRE, and infrastructure teams — we practice full-cycle development where developers own and operate what they build.
• Mentor junior engineers as a Lead member of the team.

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of management experience.
• 7+ years of experience, including both managerial and technical roles.
• Experience with complex systems and high scalability (e.g., multithreading).
• Expertise in modern web development frameworks, C#, or equivalent.
• Experience working in Payments and Onboarding domains (Registration, KYC, AML, Knowledge Questionnaires, Client Verification).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with B2C production systems.
• Proficient in database management, with extensive experience in writing optimized SQL queries and working with various data stores.
• Strong passion for software development and high motivation.
• Fluent English.
• Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems
• Experience in project planning and presenting designs.
• Experience in fintech is a plus.
• Prior experience in integrating payment systems with banks is highly desirable.
