The client is an American company that has been offering digital billing services and payment solutions to the insurance industry since the 1950s, evolving from a family-built general agency to a leader in premium financing, software, and business process outsourcing for the property and casualty insurance sector.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated hands-on experience in the insurance, property and casualty or finance sectors, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development and mastery of their craft.

Position Purpose:

The Sales Development Representative seeks new opportunities for our sales team by contacting and developing relationships with potential clients. This position generates sales opportunities and contributes to company’s long-term business growth.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a consistent contact attempt process via phone and email to follow-up, nurture, and qualify leads.
  • Prospect, educating, and qualifying leads to create sales-ready opportunities to hand over to Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Develop and maintain daily plans (KPIs) to maximize phone time, including pre-call planning, adhering to territory hours, and customizing scripts and outreach cadences to market segments and prospect types.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop strategic contact lists and maintain quality contact data within the CRM and database.
  • Report to the Manager of Business Development on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) lead generation results.
  • Maintain industry and technology knowledge to ensure that you remain a trusted resource for prospects and customers and will successfully manage and overcome prospect objections.

The performance of SDR will be evaluated based on his/her effectiveness in meeting the following KPIs on an ongoing basis:

  • Make 150 outbound calls per week (~30 in a daily basis)
  • Send 150 emails per week (~30 in a daily basis)
  • Set up 8 qualified meetings per month (~2 in a week basis)

Position requirements:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role.
  • Previous preferred experience prospecting and calling on insurance agents, general agents and insurance carriers.
  • Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM applications like HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Knowledge and understanding of property and casualty industry.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven sales ability with a successful track record of increasing sales
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with prospects, referral sources, and colleagues
  • Demonstrates the ability to be self-motivated, independent worker
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Strong networking ability with business partners
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • Ability to deliver dynamic presentations to business clients
  • Some experience directly sourcing and prospecting new clients experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of property and casualty industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education Requirements:

Desired Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university

We're offering:

  • Ability to work remotely (8 hrs shift, Monday to Friday, operation hours by PST)
  • 10 working days of paid vacation per year
  • 5 working days of absences for illness per year
