A product company working with a live product — where metrics change in real time and A/B test results are visible almost immediately — is looking for a VP Infrastructure.
✅The company operates a large-scale international B2C digital platform in the live content and streaming domain. The mobile product connects creators with their audiences worldwide and enables talent monetization.
✅The company is well-established on the global market and backed by an international team distributed across multiple locations.
✅ They offer: stock options, medical insurance (100% coverage for employees and 75% for family members), office lunches, parking, and a Multisport card.
- Infrastructure-First Leadership: 12+ years of experience primarily in Infrastructure, SRE, or Systems Architecture, with a proven track record of scaling global products from startup to maturity.
- Executive Experience: 5+ years at Director/VP level managing multi-disciplinary teams (SRE, DevOps, and QA/SDET).
- Zero-Downtime Philosophy: Demonstrated expertise in implementing Active-Active architectures and automated failover systems at high scale.
- High-Load Mastery: Technical depth in real-time, high-traffic B2C environments (e.g., streaming, gaming, or ad-tech).
- Economic Discipline: Expert-level experience in Cloud Economics (FinOps) and vendor negotiation.
- Fluent English: Excellent communication skills to align and influence a global engineering organization.
Infrastructure, SRE & Change Safety
- Zero-Downtime Execution: Enforce technical and procedural standards for 100% availability during global maintenance, database migrations, and regional failovers.
- Infrastructure CI/CD & GitOps: Own the migration from manual operations to a centralized, automated pipeline where every infra change is linted, scanned, and dry-run.
- Policy-as-Code Guardrails: Implement automated system blocks to prevent high-risk configurations (e.g., unauthorized security changes) before they reach production.
- FinOps & Cloud Strategy: Manage the global multi-cloud budget (GCP/AWS/Azure), driving architectural efficiency to optimize unit-cost without sacrificing performance.
Quality Engineering
- Quality Department Oversight: Lead the Director of Quality to ensure standard QA and SDET practices are integrated across all engineering domains.
- Automated Quality Gates: Drive the development of test frameworks that act as "Go/No-Go" filters for all application releases.
- Resiliency Validation: Oversee the implementation of Chaos Engineering and "Game Days" to verify the infrastructure's self-healing capabilities.
- Release Governance: Define the stability benchmarks required for every production deployment, balancing product velocity with system integrity.
