We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking DB/BI Engineer to join our development team working with modern Microsoft data technologies and AI-first engineering practices.
As an AI-first company, we expect engineers to actively leverage AI tools to improve productivity, accelerate development, enhance code quality, simplify documentation, and automate repetitive tasks while maintaining full ownership of technical decisions and deliverables.
The ideal candidate is a driven individual who enjoys solving complex data challenges, continuously improving engineering practices, and embracing new technologies to deliver high-quality solutions.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing existing ETL processes, developing new ETL solutions, supporting database administration activities, and ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of enterprise data platforms.
The successful candidate will have strong SQL Server development skills, solid T-SQL expertise, experience with Microsoft BI technologies including SSIS, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement through AI-assisted engineering.
Experience with database administration, performance tuning, replication, and query optimization is considered a strong advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of ETL process and solution implementation experience with successful project delivery demonstrating strong knowledge of data integration and data warehousing;
- Minimum 3 years of experience with database concepts, logical modeling, physical database design, installation, configuration, administration, and optimization;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS;
- Experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft BI (SSIS), IBM DataStage, SAP Data Integrator, Pentaho Kettle, Informatica, or similar;
- Experience with data migration between transactional databases and data warehouse environments;
- Understanding of database performance optimization and SQL query tuning;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- English — Intermediate level or higher;
- Comfortable working in an AI-first engineering environment and using AI-powered tools as part of the daily development workflow.
- Hands-on experience using AI engineering tools (such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude or similar) for SQL development, debugging, documentation, testing, performance optimization, and engineering productivity;
- Knowledge of Snowflake;
- Experience with OLAP technologies including Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), MicroStrategy, Cognos, or similar platforms;
- Understanding of US healthcare data governance, including protection of Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and security compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Client Services, DBA, Development Teams, and Business Analysts to understand source systems and identify opportunities for data standardization and process improvements;
- Analyze transactional systems and data warehouse structures to design reliable ETL solutions;
- Map Import/Export files to source systems and data warehouse models;
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes, SQL queries, stored procedures, SQL Agent jobs, and workflows using Git or SVN for version control;
- Define, document, and maintain ETL metadata, transformation logic, and business rules;
- Improve existing ETL processes to increase performance, scalability, and reliability;
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues using SQL Server tools and analytical techniques;
- Monitor daily production data processes and ensure successful execution;
- Review database health and performance, identifying optimization opportunities;
- Perform SQL query tuning and stored procedure optimization;
- Support QA Engineers, Developers, Support teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle;
- Develop, test, debug, and enhance database functionality;
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for every release cycle;
- Create solution documentation and provide knowledge transfer to administrators and end users;
- Leverage AI tools responsibly to accelerate development, improve documentation, assist with troubleshooting, optimize SQL code, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and increase overall engineering efficiency while ensuring solution quality, security, and compliance.
At our company, AI is an integral part of the engineering workflow.
We encourage engineers to use approved AI tools to accelerate software development, SQL optimization, documentation, debugging, testing, knowledge discovery, and routine engineering tasks. AI is viewed as a productivity multiplier that enables engineers to focus on solving complex business problems — not as a replacement for engineering expertise.
Engineers remain fully responsible for the correctness, security, performance, compliance, and quality of every solution they deliver.
- Work alongside smart, talented, and collaborative professionals;
- Be part of a fast-growing product company with an AI-first engineering culture;
- Flexible remote or hybrid work options;
- Comfortable office in the city center;
- Free English classes;
- Equipment provided;
- Opportunities for continuous professional growth and learning.
