On behalf of Feeld, GT is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer interested in building a product used by millions of people and helping shape a more inclusive, human-centred approach to relationships and connection.

About the Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll work across both backend and mobile, tackling some of the most complex technical challenges in Feeld’s systems.

You’ll be involved in investigating and resolving issues across the stack, improving system performance and reliability, and building scalable features for a globally distributed product.

This role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys going deep into technical problems, understands how systems work under the hood, and is excited by the challenges of building and scaling products used by millions of people.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy scalable and resilient backend systems utilizing NoSQL and event-driven technologies within cloud-first architectures
• Take charge of in-depth investigations across frontend/backend systems, providing clear pathways to resolution
• Optimize system performance to ensure reliability and availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and QA, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

Must-have

• 5+ years of professional experience with React Native / mobile development
• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong backend expertise, including building self-documented APIs with Node.js web frameworks, GraphQL or REST
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and NoSQL databases
• Strong TypeScript skills
• Experience with AWS, ideally including ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, EventBridge, and PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of React Native internals, rendering, performance optimisation, and the JS bridge
• Understanding of native mobile development and build configurations in Xcode and Android Studio
• Experience writing reliable unit and integration tests
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at working with diverse teams

Nice to have

• Experience with Apollo, NestJS, Amplitude, Firebase Authentication, Stream Chat, Cloudinary, Sentry, Snowflake
• Experience working with globally distributed systems and scalability challenges
• Interest in ML/AI and recommendation systems
• A test-driven mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Experience with Terraform
