The hiring process lasted approximately a month and a half and included 4 interview stages:

1 English proficiency assessment.
2 Interview with the recruiter.
3 Technical interview.
4 Interview in English with the QA Lead and Manager.

After completing all stages, I was informed that the company did not consider my level to be Senior and was willing to offer me a Middle-level position with compensation $800 lower than what had initially been discussed.

I agreed to consider the Middle-level position and asked for an additional $100, since the company did not provide accounting support in Poland (where I currently reside), meaning I would have to handle this independently. After that, the company recruiter spent approximately a week discussing internally whether the additional $100 could be approved.

In the end, after the entire process, I was simply informed that the company had decided not to proceed with my application.

I would also like to mention the conditions regarding work equipment. The company does not provide a laptop - employees are expected to purchase one at their own expense. I was told that the company could potentially reimburse the cost under certain conditions; however, I was never provided with clear information regarding the maximum reimbursement amount, timing, conditions, or reimbursement process. I believe this information should be clearly communicated to a candidate before they make a decision about joining the company.

For me, the most negative aspect was not the rejection itself. The company has every right to reject a candidate. The issue was how much of the candidate's time and resources were spent without a clear and timely decision.

If, after four interview stages, a company still does not have a clear understanding of whether it wants to hire a candidate, and then spends another week discussing a $100 difference, this indicates a poorly organized hiring process.
