C Developer

We are  looking for C Developer to join our team.

About the Project

The project you will be working on is different assignments on the Vector Packet Processing hosted at https://fd.io. The Fast Data Project (FD.io) is an open-source project aimed at providing the world's fastest and most secure networking data plane through Vector Packet Processing (VPP).

VPP implements a variety of key network routing, switching protocols, and crypto protocols. After you familiarize yourself with VPP, your assignments will consist of work on different customer requirements or our network functions (https://cdnf.io)

Which skills do you need?

• Being fluent in C so that you don’t need to google the syntax. 

• Windows users are welcome, but be warned that life with us might bring some interesting challenges. We prefer Unix and Linux.

• We utilize SCRUM and talk to the clients world-wide on daily basis, English communication is therefore essential.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience as C Developer

• Advanced knowledge of C programming language.

• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux administration

• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN administration

• Some experience with Python (bare minimum).

• English — Upper intermediate (B2)

As a plus:

• Knowledge of networking and Linux.

• Knowledge of EVPN BGP will be a plus.

• Experience with sockets and networking is a plus.

• Experience with shells and Bash are nice to have.

• Knowledge of network and communication protocols, servers settings and cloud systems management are an advantage.
