Strong Middle WordPress Engineer (contractor)

We are looking for a Strong Middle WordPress engineer for the development of a network of 10+ websites. 

What to expect?

You will be involved in the development of 10+ different news regional websites.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in WordPress development, with a focus on creating scalable, high-performance multi-site networks. This role requires a blend of front-end and back-end skills, with a strong emphasis on creating user-friendly, accessible, and SEO-optimized websites.

The team

Middle WordPress engineer, Middle Front-end engineer, UI/UX designers, PM, DevOps, QA.

How many stages of the interview are there?

- Interview with the Recruiter — up to 30 min.;

- Technical interview — up to 1 h.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of working experience using WordPress;
• Proficiency in PHP and Javascript;
• Familiarity with LAMP; 
• Quick with design mockup to the website, an expert with Elementor or similar;
• Expert with WP Multisite and able to effectively create website networks;
• Experience with SEO best practices and accessibility standards;
• Ability to work with several projects simultaneously;
• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques;
• Knowledge of web security protocols and best practices;
• Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities:

• Development of a WordPress multi-site network;
• Ensuring all sites are optimized for performance, user experience, and functionality;
• Creating and managing themes, plugins, and custom functionalities tailored to the project's requirements;
• Ensure all sites are fully responsive and have well-structured layouts.
