About the team

The team consists of 2 data engineers skilled in this field.

You will therefore have the best possible conditions when you join this team. The future strategy is for the company to scale up the team with remote developers.

The client advocates a way of working that promotes remote work and has a long and solid experience of collaborating with developers from different locations and cultures.

Assignment description

- Setup Databricks (compute cluster etc.)

- Building a complete pipeline (ELT) for sales data based on similar transformations done in the current Snowflake/dbt core setup with mainly SQL (some Python). The pipeline architecture should be the foundation for further pipelines with reusable logic.

- Add the possibility of chatting with the sales model

Must haves

- Best practices architecture and setup (including security) of Databricks

- Implemented ELT with stream functionality

- Best practices architecture in Databricks

- Data modeling

- Star schema (SCD2)

Other requirements

- Deep understanding of retail

- RAG model on the Lakehouse
