We are looking for a passionate pixel-pushing, gamut wrangling Video and Picture Quality Systems Engineer to help lead ourVideo and Graphics Picture Quality Team. This is a critical team that is instrumental to the delivery of Fire TV’s core customerpromise, and this engineer will shape and guide Fire TV’s future in TV’s and Media Players. On this team you’ll help develop thefuture of television and entertainment delivery while assuring that Fire TV’s innovation is backed by rock-solid picture quality andindustry-leading video processing. This is a chance to work in a space ranging from silicon-level color correction to machine-learning while building products used every day by people you know.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
6+ years of professional experience in software or device production.
An ability to do math with code.
Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Fluency in multiple programming languages, including C, C++, Java, and Python.
Experience defining system architectures and understanding technical trade-offs.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Consumer software, systems design, and architecture experience.
Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and see various perspectives.
Able to provide insights into business, product, and technology tradeoffs.Preferred Qualifications● Experience and high level understanding of the Picture Quality/Graphics space

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.
Experience with delivery-side color and video processing, including gamut mapping, panel-level correction, motion-estimation/motion-compensation.
Experience delivering complex software systems.
A favorite color space.
