Plarium is working on a multi-platform third-person shooter in a realistic setting with innovative gameplay. The project is large-scale and ambitious both from graphics and game design point of view and from a technical perspective. It’s now in the early stages of development.
We are looking for a talented Game Designer to join the Game Design Department as a member of the team responsible for developing and maintaining game economy and game balance.
The successful candidate will work with game analytics on a regular basis, whilst also collaborating regularly with systems Game Designers, and Level Designers.
- Developing balance for in-game items (price/rarity/quantity), and the general flow of resources in the game
- Creating loot tables
- Calculating game progression for features
- Formulating players’ profit/loss balance tables based on game stage
- Working with the Level Design team to place loot boxes on game maps
- Analyzing current version balance performance and implementing adjustments based on analytics
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Game Designer / Game Economy Designer
- Knowledge of Google Sheets including LOOKUP functions and auto-updating linked formulas
- Firm knowledge of probability theory
- Understanding of the core principles of statistics
- Understanding the core principles of game economy design and resource flow design
- Fluency in Ukrainian
- English language skills at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher
- Experience working with Unity and version control systems
- Experience writing scripts for Google Sheets
- Experience in deconstructing game economies or game features
- Experience working with game analytics
