About the Role 

OTAKOYI is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Kotlin Back-end Developer to join our client team. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, enjoy challenges, and value personal growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 - Proficiency in Kotlin for backend development;

- Strong experience with the Spring Boot framework;

- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications;

- Familiarity with Azure Cloud;

- Skilled in designing and consuming RESTful APIs;

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns;

- Experience with on-premise and cloud-based deployments;

- Understanding of secure coding practices and backend security best practices; 

- Familiarity with scalability strategies and performance tuning for backend services;

- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack;

- Proficiency in CI/CD processes using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar;

- Solid experience with version control systems such as Git;

- Expertise in relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB;

- At least Upper-Intermediate English proficiency, both spoken and written;

- Strong initiative and decision-making ability;

- Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance existing applications;
• Design and implement new features for the application;
• Rewrite monolithic application modules and migrate them to a microservices architecture;
• Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams;
• Design and develop new integrations with internal and external systems.
