Requirements:
- 5+ years of PostgreSQL, Pg/SQL development experience.
- Oracle SQL, PL/SQLL development experience will be a big plus.
- Shredding, changing and understanding older code without the need to know everything about a business process is imperative.
- Query performance analyzing and tuning.
- Experience with high loaded OLTP systems.
- Experience with very large databases.
- Experience with design, development, and maintenance of reporting and data warehouse databases a plus.
- Experience with migrating schemas and data from Oracle to other RDBMS a plus.
- Basic DB administration experience.
- Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
- Familiarity with programming languages API.
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
- Experience with Amazon Redshift, RDS, Aurora is a plus.
General skills:
- English and Ukrainian (reading/writing/speaking) — min Intermediate level.
- Experience in working with people.
- Quick understanding and learning abilities.
- Ability to work on several tasks in parallel.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, coding, and implementing software solutions using modern techniques and programming SQL language.
- Provides high-level database development assistance in creating specific applications for businesses.
- Provides general support on information technology to design, develop, execute, and maintain the database application systems, applying several RDBMS.
- Ensures research and innovation at all levels of the software development process. May participate in multiple projects simultaneously as a senior development team member.
- Works harmoniously in a cross-functional team comprising managers, supervisors, business analysts, systems personnel, network staff, and other developers in ensuring the delivery of software solutions as planned, within set budget, and timely.
- Acts as a coach or mentor to junior software developers.
- Provides excellent customer service by responding to and assisting with help desk calls to resolving issues, including system outages.
