Python developer

We are looking for a Python developer to join a client building a cutting-edge technology forecasting platform, trusted by global R&D leaders to support data-driven innovation and investment decisions.

Our client is a Netherlands-based company that helps R&D leaders predict the technological future through the use of its AI-powered SaaS platform. With the platform, one can anticipate technological disruption and make strategic investments in emerging technologies. A crucial part of their operation is the managed service. With the managed service, analysts use the AI platform to generate insights for senior R&D leaders so that they can make better investment decisions. 

Over the past two years, our client has been actively developing a SaaS solution that helps users make data-driven decisions in the field of research and development. To provide even more valuable insights to a broader range of users, the team is focused on improving the platform’s usability and expanding its capabilities.

We are currently looking for a backend engineer to join the development team. We’re seeking someone with experience in backend web development and a strong interest in working with data-intensive workloads.

What you'll do in this role  

• Working on LLM integrations with big data
• Architecting backend solutions for managing complex user workflows
• Building new analytics features, such as dashboards and reporting systems
• Collaborate closely with a team of great developers

We're looking for

• Affinity with big data. Searching and analyzing thereof is a must
• 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably with Python including the skills that come with this, such as:
• Experience with backend frameworks in like FastAPI, Celery, LangChain, LangGraph, SQLAlchemy, Elasticsearch-DSL
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, or Unittest) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Elasticsearch)
• The ability to communicate effortlessly in English
• Experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

How to knock our socks off

• Experience with generative AI
• Experience with patent data
• Naming five or more dishes that include beetroot besides borshch.
