Backend Engineer (C#)

Our client offers a digital platform that helps auto dealerships manage title and vehicle registration processes, primarily in California, with expanding services across the U.S. Their solution includes features such as eFilling, digital signatures, audit and compliance services, and plate/sticker fulfillment — all designed to streamline DMV-related workflows for dealership staff.

The POD (Product-Oriented Delivery) initiative supports modernization and scalability efforts across the platform by leveraging microservices, clean architecture, and automation.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Backend С# Engineers to join a cross-functional product team that focuses on building scalable and resilient backend services. You will contribute to the evolution of the DMV Desk platform by designing service orchestration logic, improving integrations with legacy systems, and implementing robust error handling strategies.

This is a long-term remote position with a strong engineering culture, CI/CD pipelines, and a clear focus on code quality and business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain orchestration layers, service adapters, and normalization logic to support scalable microservice communication.
• Design and implement robust error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver consistent and testable APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal data validation standards, OpenAPI specs, and service documentation.

Skills & Prerequisites:

• Strong proficiency in C#.
• Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with resilience and fault-tolerance tools like Polly (C#).
• Understanding of JSON schema validation and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic familiarity with message queues, containerization (e.g., Docker), and microservice architecture is a plus.
