Data/BI Engineer

Andersen is looking for a 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚/𝐁𝐈 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 for a UK digital bank. The role includes building cloud infrastructure, improving data governance, and creating reporting tools to support savings and mortgage products.

The 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 is focused on building cloud-native infrastructure, data governance, and reporting tools that accelerate the development of savings and mortgage products. A key priority is delivering Data Build Tool and Power BI integration to improve data management and business insights. 

𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤: PowerBI, Terraform, AWS Athena, AWS LakeFormation, AWS IAM Identity Center, Athena (PostrgreSQL) SQL, Python. 

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

- Supporting the setup and implementation of data workflows in the cloud environment. 

- Ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of transformed data for business intelligence and analytics. 

- Managing infrastructure provisioning and configuration. 

- Supporting Power BI Gateway integration between AWS Athena and Microsoft Power BI Cloud with EntraID-based SSO. 

- Assisting with Active Directory integration for Lake Formation accounts. 

- Configuring and maintaining DBT Cloud. 

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

- Experience as a Data/BI Engineer or in a similar position for 3+ years. 

- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation. 

- Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining Power BI Gateway to link AWS Athena to MS Power BI Server (ideally in redundant setup and via Terraform). - Experience linking Lake Formation accounts to Active Directory and EntraID / IAM Identity Center for SSO (preferably via Terraform) 

- Experience setting up and maintaining DBT Cloud (ideally via Terraform). 

- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞:

- Experience setting up and maintaining DBT Cloud (ideally via Terraform). 

- Some experience with Python. 

- Experience working in regulated environments. 

- Experience working in Agile teams.
