UI/UX Designer (Part time)

About the Role

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer to support a mission-driven, nonprofit-focused digital platform. Your work will help improve how organizations and volunteers connect, collaborate, and create positive social impact.

This role is well-suited for a designer who values purpose-driven work, enjoys thoughtful problem-solving, and is comfortable contributing on a part-time, flexible basis within a distributed, diverse team.

What You’ll Do:

- Design intuitive, user-centered UX flows and UI components

- Create and iterate on wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs

- Collaborate with product and engineering during the 14:00–16:00 MT overlap window

- Improve usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across the product

- Contribute to or refine a design system (components, typography, color, spacing)

- Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate efficiently

Required Skills & Experience:

- 4+ years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design

- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered thinking

- Proficiency with Figma (or similar tools)

- Solid understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Comfortable collaborating with a remote, multicultural team

- Availability during 14:00–16:00 MT (daily overlap is required)

Nice to Have:

- Experience designing SaaS, web apps, or startups

- Experience working with distributed or global teams

- Basic understanding of frontend constraints (HTML/CSS awareness)
