Senior Embedded / Drone Software Engineer

A Ukrainian deep tech company is expanding its engineering team in Warsaw and is looking for a Senior Embedded / Drone Software Engineer.

The company develops innovative hybrid autonomous marine robotic systems (drones) capable of operating both on the water surface and at significant depths. The system uses artificial intelligence (AI) for target recognition, autonomous navigation, and real-time decision-making.

The team has already successfully tested a prototype of its underwater vehicle and is now moving toward full-scale development for real-world deployment.

The engineer will be responsible for developing software for drone control — from sensor integration and actuator control to autonomous navigation and communication systems. Key responsibilities include sensor data processing, mission execution logic, ensuring stable telemetry, and interaction between software and hardware components.

The position involves active participation in system architecture design, influence on hardware development decisions, and regular field testing to validate solutions in real-world conditions.

Requirements:

• experience with C/C++ development for embedded systems;
• hands-on experience with CAN, UART, I2C, SPI.

Nice to have:

• experience with Sensor Fusion, EKF, navigation systems, robotics, or UAVs.
