Wi-Fi Network Engineer

We are looking for a Wi-Fi Network Engineer to join a team that builds, maintains, and develops wireless infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the stable operation of the company's Wi-Fi networks and participating in the design, optimization, and implementation of new solutions.

Our client is a large Ukrainian retail chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administration and optimization of Wi-Fi infrastructure
• Design of wireless networks based on business requirements
• Configuration of SSIDs, VLANs, QoS, and access policies
• Implementation of Wi-Fi network security mechanisms
• Analysis of the radio environment (interference, coverage, roaming) and optimization of network coverage
• Incident resolution and troubleshooting of network issues
• Automation of routine tasks using APIs / scripting

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Wireless Network Engineer (Wi-Fi + Network Engineering)
• Hands-on experience in administering and optimizing Wi-Fi infrastructure
• Experience with one or more of the following solutions:
  • FortiAP
  • Cisco WLC
  • Aruba Central
• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with:
  • SSID
  • VLAN
  • QoS
  • access policies
• Good understanding of Wi-Fi security principles, including:
  • WPA2 / WPA3
  • 802.1X
  • Guest Access
• Experience analyzing and resolving medium-complexity incidents (troubleshooting)
• Ability to work with technical documentation
• Fluent Ukrainian

NICE TO HAVE

• CWNA / CWSP certification
• Cisco CCNA Wireless or Aruba ACMA certification
• Experience with Ekahau
