Senior Front-End Engineer (React) [Part-Time, On-Demand]

We’re on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to support our team on a part-time, on-demand basis. You’ll be joining an innovative environment, contributing to projects that range from complex web applications to dynamic product interfaces for clients primarily based in the US and Europe. 

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to shape seamless user experiences. This is a flexible role ideal for professionals who thrive on solving interface challenges, improving performance, and building well-structured, reusable React components. 

What you’ll do: 

• Contribute to the design and development of scalable, component-based React applications 
• Translate UI/UX designs and product specs into responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces 
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve performance and maintainability 
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and define contract interfaces 
• Participate in code reviews, propose technical solutions, and advocate best practices 
• Provide ad-hoc engineering support based on project needs (hours and scope vary weekly) 

What we’re looking for: 

• 5+ years of experience building production-ready React applications 
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript 
• Deep understanding of React and ecosystem libraries (Redux, React Query, React Router, etc.) 
• Experience with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, Prettier, etc.) 
• Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative development practices 
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude 
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher — you’ll be interacting directly with the team and/or clients 

Nice to have: 

• Experience with component libraries (Ant Design, MUI, Tailwind) 
• Familiarity with testing tools (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress) 
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting) 
• Background in working with design systems or design tokens 
• Understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG) 
• Previous experience in part-time/consulting/remote roles
