We're building durability into a mobile subscription business we already run, while standing up a genuinely new, owned-relationship product line alongside it — a new consumer product in the privacy & security space, targeting a dual-platform (iOS + Android) launch soon.
We're hiring a Product Lead to be the keystone of both efforts. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor-to-lead role for someone who wants to own product strategy end to end — not just ship features, but decide what to build and why, grounded in cohort data and real user behavior.
In the first six weeks, you'll lead willingness-to-pay and pricing validation across our existing portfolio, shape the UX for a deliberately scoped MVP feature set, and run the App Store soft launch in CA/AU, then US/UK — partnering closely with the team on conversion and real LTV, and with the Android developer to keep the dual-platform launch on track.
- Own the new product end-to-end — discovery through launch and post-launch optimization, across iOS and Android — and continuously evolve the roadmap by translating business goals, user needs, data, and engineering constraints into a focused, sequenced plan.
- Lead product discovery and validation — customer interviews, usability testing, competitor research, behavioral data, willingness-to-pay experiments.
- Define core user journeys (onboarding, activation, feature discovery, paywalls, subscription flows) and partner with Design on simple, intuitive experiences.
- Own activation, conversion, and retention as product outcomes, designing and prioritizing experiments across pricing, trials, paywalls, packaging, and upsell.
- Partner with iOS, Android, and backend engineering to turn strategy into shippable scope — owning requirements, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and release decisions.
- Establish the product measurement framework with Engineering/Data — instrumentation, funnels, cohorts, and dashboards.
- Own product-led monetization on the existing portfolio and shape the new product's AI/privacy differentiation — privacy coaching, credential risk detection, data-flow insights, intelligent vault.
- Own the launch process, from soft launch in CA/AU through US/UK expansion, staying close to competitors, pricing, App Store reviews, and support feedback.
- 5+ years in product management with strong evidence of independently owning a consumer product from strategy through launch and measurable outcomes.
- Experience with a consumer mobile subscription product, ideally one where you personally influenced activation, conversion, retention, churn, or LTV.
- Strong product judgment and quantitative fluency — funnels, cohorts, churn curves, LTV/CAC models — with the ability to make a clear prioritization call independently.
- Hands-on experimentation mindset — designing and interpreting experiments around onboarding, pricing, paywalls, or retention.
- Strong consumer UX instincts and comfort working closely with engineers on scope decisions.
- Experience building or evolving an MVP under real time and resource constraints.
- Commercial mindset — connecting product decisions to conversion, retention, ARPU, and LTV across different time horizons.
- Strong ownership and communication, with a low-ego, high-accountability mindset — comfortable aligning founders, engineering, design, growth, marketing, and support.
- Experience in consumer privacy, cybersecurity, VPN, password management, or adjacent subscription categories.
- Experience with App Store / Google Play launches and subscription pricing mechanics (plans, trials, paywalls, packaging).
- Experience partnering with performance marketing and growth teams shifting toward product-led or owned growth.
- Experience with AI-powered consumer products, with the ability to distinguish genuinely useful AI capabilities from positioning features.
