Sweden's world-famous car provider is hiring a senior Embedded Software Application Engineer! A person in this position will lead a defined area of technical expertise. The scope is global, strategic, and long-term, not limited to specific product projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team to focus on the early phases of the development cycle, specifically in developing technical roadmaps
Assume a global area of responsibility for Conspicuity (Exterior Lights and AVAS) and specify the End User Function (EUF) within this domain
Ensure that the specification covers all variations in desired end-user functionality, safety, quality, functional variation, brand distinction, and platform harmonization based on functional needs at the transport solution level
Analyze use cases, technology development, project prerequisites, regulations, and features to inform and shape the specification
Fulfill the role of enhancing conspicuity functions, ensuring that the vehicle is visible and noticed by other road users and VRUs (Vulnerable Road Users)
Collaborate closely with a small Exterior Light team, including another Software Application Engineer responsible for driver visibility functions and a System Provider responsible for the system realization of exterior light functions

Requirement

In this position, you should be ready to network across the organization and influence the work on the other sites. Develop acquired competence, as well as participate in business development.

Hard skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive industry
Knowledge of automotive software development processes and standards (e.g., AUTOSAR)
Knowledge of safety-critical systems and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is a plus

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
