Senior-Lead C++ Dev– Optics / Computer Vision (In Germany)

Job description

Become part of an R&D team working on innovative computer vision and optics applications for industry automation. We’re looking for a Senior to Lead-level Engineer with a strong background in mathematics and C++. You’ll be tackling complex mathematical formulas, turning them into working C++ code to create efficient algorithms.

The results will be utilized by a top US Tech company in the development of their QA environment, strongly impacting the (very high) quality of their products — consumer electronics devices sold in multi-million units globally.

You'll be dealing directly with various customer stakeholders in an agile environment. The customer is looking for a strong hands-on, proactive, and pragmatic approach, combined with strong communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar
• Excellent proficiency in C++ including the latest standards C++17 and above, as well as experience with Python.
• Ability to analyze & and understand issues and bottlenecks in software and proactively find and suggest technical solutions as well as improvements.
• Customer-facing abilities and strong communication
• Applied knowledge of multithreading and GPU programming
• Strong analytical, mathematical skills & and problem-solving skills
• Existing and valid VISA and work permit in Germany, or resident of an EU country

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on MATLAB experience
• Experience with embedded systems
• Objective-C knowledge
• Familiarity with Sensors
• Familiarity with Machine Learning
• Familiarity with software development for Linux and/or MacOS

Experience in those fields will be a strong plus
