Our client is a Swedish consulting company that assists companies with technological change and organizational development to improve the rate of and quality of delivery. The end customer is the leading Talent Attraction Platform in Scandinavia. Their employer branding tool connects organizations to top candidates on a talent-pipelining platform that puts humans first. 80% of all organizations struggle to find and attract talent and the costs of a failed recruitment are huge. To overcome this challenge, many companies are moving away from reactive hiring to proactive talent relationship management. This is where the client provides organizations with a unique capability to systematically build their talent relations. They enable customers to connect digitally with talent leads through all their employer branding touchpoints and help them to nurture these relationships to convert them into hires.

About the team

You’ll join a team of smart people: one senior engineer, a fractional CTO who has a background in distributed systems and software architecture, a Head of Sales, the CEO, and a Head of Product with a background at Google and Spotify.

Assignment description

We are looking to modernize the Java Spring Boot platform, with multiple new and exciting features, such as a drag-and-drop campaign builder, and a UI for modeling workflows, while maintaining and bug-fixing in the existing platform. If you have a strong Java background, with some experience both in frontend and backend, but possibly with a bit more backend focus, you might be the person for this team. We will put a strong focus on software quality and solving problems for the long term, by utilizing testing frameworks such as Cypress, Spring Framework’s test library + Hamcrest, and testing end-to-end with docker-compose. The frontend is written in Angular v16. This is an opportunity to come in early in an exciting project about revamping an existing CRM/ATS product into the most competitive it can get, by in part taking what we have and in part extending with bleeding edge innovative technology, such as GenAI, but also with more standard but technologically advanced methods like workflow engines and stream processing.

Must haves

- 4+ years of experience with the Java programming language and Spring Boot

- Experience in front-end development with Angular

- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Cypress, Spring Framework’s test library, Hamcrest, etc.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

- Good command of spoken and written English
