Senior PHP Engineer

Avenga is looking for an experienced Senior PHP Engineer with Symfony to join our Norwegian project and build the global e-commerce platform. The mission of this project is to create a strong network between local productions and global markets using a cutting-edge approach to distribution chains.

As a PHP Engineer, you’ll develop APIs used by millions, integrate with leading third-party systems, and tackle complex engineering challenges. Our backend technology stack includes PHP, operating on cloud services with a modern CI/CD pipeline.

What you bring along:

• 5+ years of experience as a PHP Engineer;
• Expertise in Symfony 5 Framework;
• Experience in developing e-commerce integrations with marketplaces and social commerce channels;
• Strong knowledge of API integration concepts, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization processes;
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and technologies like Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, or BigCommerce;
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams;
• English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript;
• B.S. degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;
• Experience in the print on demand or custom merchandise industry.

This is your mission:

• Write clean, well-designed code;
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
• Develop and implement robust integrations between internal platform and various e-commerce marketplaces;
• Collaborate closely with internal development team to understand APIs and integration requirements;
• Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions that enable seamless product listings, order syncing, and fulfillment processes;
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant marketplace and platform guidelines;
• Provide documentation and technical support to both internal teams and external merchants using the integrations;
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the integrations.
