Level 1 BIM Specialist

Looking to our company-partner Lagoteam.

We are looking for a Level 1 BIM Specialist to join our team and support the processing and verification of BIM models for construction projects. The role involves validating project data, setting up collaboration environments, processing location models, and ensuring data accuracy in our system. You will work closely with Level 2 and Level 3 BIM Specialists, escalating issues as needed and contributing to a streamlined onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Model Processing & Verification

- Receive and verify BIM models, RWC (Real World Coordinates), and project documents within 24 hours of receipt.

- Ensure the completeness of essential documents, including:

- Site logistic plans

- Site plans & survey documents

- Master and erection schedules

- Section and elevation plans (for non-BIM sites)

- Check model quality using Revit, BIM Vision, AutoCAD, and BIM360.

2. Location Model Creation & Setup

- Set up and organize project folders in BIM360 and Versatile Drive.

- Create location models based on site documents and integrate them with BIM360.

- Process building, floor, area, and operational masses following company standards.

- Assign coordinates and positioning data to ensure accurate project alignment.

- Perform QA checks on location models to confirm accuracy.

3. Collaboration & Issue Escalation

- Sync and collaborate models in BIM360 Cloud using proper protocols.

- Monitor Slack channels and Jira tickets, ensuring timely updates and reporting.

- If a model is incomplete, missing data, or has errors, escalate issues to L2 BIM Specialists and log them in Jira.

- Support the integration of Real World Coordinates (RWC) by cross-checking customer-provided data.

4. Site Image & Model Publishing Support

- Assist in generating site images from location models for use in the Versatile system (Pyramid & Explore pages).

- Ensure that models are correctly formatted and uploaded to MMS (CraneView Admin).

- Perform basic QA checks in Pyramid and V-BIM to validate model positioning and data integrity.

Required Qualifications

✅ Technical Skills:

- Experience with Revit, BIM360, BIM Vision, and AutoCAD.

- Familiarity with IFC model validation and data verification processes.

- Understanding of geospatial coordinates (RWC) and construction site logistics.

✅ Soft Skills:

- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality data verification.

- Ability to follow structured workflows and meet tight deadlines.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with L2 & L3 specialists.

- Proactive problem-solving and ability to escalate issues appropriately.

✅ Preferred Experience:

- 1+ years of experience in BIM modeling, drafting, or construction data processing.

- Knowledge of construction methodologies (CIP, Precast, Steel, etc.) is a plus.

- Experience working with project coordination tools like Jira and Slack.
