The IT company Andersen invites a Lead Backend Developer (Node.js) to join its team for working with a company from the UK.
The customer is the leading international transport provider. The company operates bus, coach, and rail services across various regions including the UK, continental Europe, North Africa, and North and South America. In 2023, it reported revenue of £3.15 billion, reflecting its strong global presence.
The project involves developing a configurable web and app solution, integrated with existing systems to accelerate delivery and enhance customer conversion and retention.
Technological stack on the project: Nodejs, SQL Server, Amazon API gateway, Amazon Event Bridge,ECS, Lambda.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with leads of other squads and managers for work planning.
- Designing high-level technical solutions for the team.
- Distributing tasks among developers (2-3 people of different levels).
- Participating in team Scrum ceremonies.
- Bringing ideas for technical solutions to improve the product to the team and leadership.
Must-haves:
- Experience in implementing projects related to large platforms and working with APIs for 4,5+ years.
- Experienced in full delivery lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy.
- Strong understanding of: RESTful API principles and best practices, Event driven architectures, Microservices based architectures.
- Good understanding of common integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, predominantly Kanban.
- Ability to plan and manage technical delivery as multiple squads (including risk management).
- Able to track dependencies across teams, API, and backend services.
- Good understanding of automated testing, build pipelines, API gateways,and automated deployment.
- Able to collaborate effectively with Infrastructure/Devops to coordinate environment builds and rollout strategies.
- Experience with AWS — especially API gateway, Docker, ECS (Containers).
- Proven track record of stakeholder management — acting as bridge between technical and business (digital trading) teams — including off shore teams.
- Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.

- Experience as a Tech Lead.
