Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer for our client, a large Ukrainian IT company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementation and enforcement of security policies in cloud environments (AWS);
• Analysis of cloud infrastructure architecture for compliance with security principles (least privilege, zero trust, encryption in transit/at rest, etc.);
• Conducting audits for compliance with internal and external information security requirements;
• Collaboration with DevOps/Platform/IT teams to implement security requirements;
• Documenting procedures and security standards, and participating in the development of technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Higher technical education in IT or Information Security;
• 3+ years of experience in Information Security;
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Security;
• Practical experience with AWS security services: IAM, GuardDuty, Config, Inspector, Security Hub, KMS, CloudTrail, WAF, Security Groups, Bucket Policies, SCP/RCP;
• AWS access and policy management tools: Security Groups, Bucket Policies, SCP/RCP;
• AWS logging and monitoring tools: CloudTrail, CloudWatch;
• Knowledge of principles such as shared responsibility, least privilege, and zero trust;
• Understanding of security standards: CIS Benchmarks, AWS Well-Architected Framework;
• Ability to perform technical audits of cloud infrastructure;
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, VPN;
• Intermediate English level for working with technical documentation and preparing reports;
• Fluent Ukrainian.

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, and GitLab CI;
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker with a focus on security;

Certifications:

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty;
• Other AWS or Information Security certificates;
• Experience implementing microsegmentation or zero-trust architectures;
• Knowledge or experience with Azure;
• Practice in automated incident response (SOAR/Playbooks);
• Experience with tools such as Trivy, Checkov.
