Team/Tech Lead (.NET)

Trusted by dealerships and government agencies alike, Vitu’s technology streamlines DMV-related processes, reduces paperwork, and ensures compliance with ever-changing regulations. Their platform supports electronic registration, title management, digital signatures, fee calculations, and more — all designed to simplify and modernize the vehicle transaction experience.

Vitu’s engineering team is driving a major platform transformation initiative focused on modernization, scalability, and automation, using microservices, clean architecture, and cloud-native technologies.

POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead / Team Lead (Backend, C#) to guide a cross-functional product team responsible for developing scalable, high-performing backend systems that support mission-critical DMV services. You will play a key role in architectural design, technical leadership, and team growth as Vitu continues to scale its services across multiple states.

This is a long-term remote role within a collaborative, engineering-focused culture that values code quality, continuous improvement, and customer impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and development of backend services, orchestration layers, and system integrations.
• Set technical direction, drive architecture decisions, and uphold engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous feedback.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, DevOps, and other teams to deliver reliable, secure, and testable APIs.
• Ensure fault tolerance, observability, and robust error handling across services.
• Align technical solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Champion scalability, performance, and maintainability in service design.

SKILLS & PREREQUISITES:

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role within a product-driven engineering team.
• Deep expertise in C#, .NET, and building production-grade RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture, service orchestration, and system design.
• Experience with resilience patterns (e.g., Polly), logging, and observability.
• Proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON schema validation, and API documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of message queues and asynchronous communication patterns is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
