A global product company is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a team working on critical low-latency infrastructure used by banks in Europe and the US.
The company builds high-performance software solutions for automated trading systems. Their core mission is to ensure ultra-low-latency, reliability, and high availability for financial transactions where microseconds make a competitive difference. Their product enables banks and their clients (algorithmic traders, hedge funds, etc.) to execute operations ahead of the market — by milliseconds.
Responsibilities
• Configure and manage firewalls (Fortigate, Palo Alto), routers, and switches
• Design and support high-availability data center networks with strict SLAs
• Administer server infrastructure (Linux, Windows Server), manage virtualization
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and packet capture analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark)
• Provide Tier-2 support to clients and internal teams
• Configure monitoring systems (Nagios, SNMP, Sflow)
• Analyze logs and visualize data (ELK, Grafana); automate with Bash, Python, Perl
• Maintain internal infrastructure (IPMI, BMC, iDRAC, ILO)
• Collaborate with development, support, and international client teams.
Requirements
• Strong experience with Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP), ACLs, NAT
• Advanced Linux system administration skills
• Experience with network hardware (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Dell Force10)
• Confident in network analysis and issue resolution using PCAP
• English — confident written and spoken communication
• Experience with virtualization and backup systems (including tape-based)
• Nice to have: familiarity with Puppet / Ansible / Chef / Salt, ELK stack, Docker/K8s.
