Composite Technologist

EOS SAR is looking for Senior Technologist (Composite / Space Structures Manufacturing) in Warsaw.

EOS SAR creates small satellites with synthetic aperture radar, that emits and receives electromagnetic waves that can pass through clouds, vegetation and the upper layers of the earth’s soil. 

 Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for deployable antenna structures (reflector mesh, carbon fiber booms, hinges, deployment mechanisms).
• Select materials (CFRP, metallic alloys, coatings) for space environment (vacuum, UV, AO, radiation).
• Define and control production processes: autoclave curing, lay-up, bonding, coating, surface treatment.
• Support qualification of processes according to aerospace standards (ECSS, NASA, ISO).
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, repeatability, and reliability.
• Prepare documentation, work instructions, and production quality reports.

 Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years in aerospace composite manufacturing or space hardware production.Strong knowledge of aerospace-grade CFRP, adhesives, and surface treatments.
• Familiarity with ECSS / NASA outgassing standards, vacuum bake-out procedures.
• Hands-on experience with autoclave / RTM / prepreg processes.
• Experience with aerospace QA systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100).
• Fluent in English (technical documentation, supplier communication).
