Assignment description:

As a Senior Developer, you will take a leading role in designing, building, and optimizing our platform across both frontend and backend.

You will be responsible for ensuring our applications are scalable, performant, and maintainable, with a strong focus on real-time communication, backend architecture, and cloud hosting.

This role goes beyond implementation – you will also contribute to architectural decisions, guide technical strategy, and mentor other developers.

You will:

- Develop and optimize UI components and design patterns with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and scalability.

- Design, implement, and improve backend APIs using NestJS, including real-time communication with Sockets and efficient data handling powered by Redis.

- Define and maintain clear API contracts, data models, and backend architecture to ensure seamless interaction between frontend and backend.

- Work on hosting, deployment, and operations in Heroku and Vercel, including CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and scaling strategies.

- Ensure robust real-time features (notifications, live updates, etc.) with high availability and low latency.

- Code reviews, knowledge sharing, and establishing best practices.

- Contribute to system design decisions and help shape our long-term technical roadmap.

- Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, accessible, and user-friendly solutions.

- Work across both our web platform and our React Native app to provide a consistent and seamless user experience.

About the team:

The team consists of two developers, and they report directly to our CEO.

Must-haves:

- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Vite.js, TailwindCSS

- Backend & API: NestJS, OpenAPI, Sockets, Redis

- Mobile: React Native, Expo

- Hosting & Deployment: Heroku, Vercel

- Version Control & Collaboration: Git, GitHub

Other requirements

- You should be able to work in a small team and be proactive, making suggestions on how the customer can develop their product technically.

- Excellent communication skills for remote and asynchronous collaboration

- At least Upper-Intermediate English level
