AI Performance Engineer

Our Customer:

Our client is a cutting-edge technology team focusing on AI compilers and high-performance computing. They develop advanced tools and frameworks that optimize machine learning workloads on modern CPU, GPU, and accelerator architectures. The team is expanding its engineering leadership with a senior technical expert who will guide the next generation of AI compiler solutions.

Your tasks:

• Analyze, profile, and optimize AI models to improve performance and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain software solutions for high-performance AI workloads using Python and C/C++.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production workflows.
• Perform competitive performance analysis and propose optimizations across hardware platforms.
• Contribute to and leverage open-source tools and frameworks for AI development.
• Drive best practices for performance profiling, benchmarking, and system optimization.

Required Experience and Skills:

• B.Sc. in software engineering, computer science, or related field (M.Sc./Ph.D. is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on experience profiling and analyzing AI models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++.
• Solid experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Expertise in competitive performance analysis is a strong advantage.
• English — Upper-Intermediate.

Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:

• Contributions to open-source AI or ML projects.
• Work with ML accelerators, HPC, or CPU/GPU architectures.

Would be a plus:

• Hands-on experience optimizing large-scale AI workflows.
• Knowledge of low-level performance tuning, memory optimization, or parallel computing.
