We are a leading travel management company dedicated to providing exceptional travel experiences through innovative mobile applications. Our mobile app TripSource, built primarily in React Native, offers travelers a seamless platform to plan, book, and manage their journeys. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our talented team and contribute to the development of our product with a strong quality assurance perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough manual testing of our React Native mobile application to identify, document, and validate defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues across a variety of devices and operating systems.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts that cover functional requirements and key non-functional aspects such as usability and basic performance considerations.
- Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements, understand feature specifications, and ensure adequate test coverage throughout the development cycle.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies—including planning, daily standups, and retrospectives—to communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns.
- Support ongoing QA process improvements by sharing observations, identifying gaps, and suggesting practical enhancements. Work closely with product managers to understand user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring QA activities align with feature goals and user value.
- Coordinate with UX/UI designers to validate that visual elements and user flows meet design expectations and provide consistent user experiences.
- Contribute to regression testing efforts and help maintain test case repositories for recurring and newly developed features.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in manual quality assurance testing, ideally with experience testing mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience writing and executing well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using modern issue tracking tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with POSTMAN for executing API tests and validating backend integrations.
- Familiarity with Charles Proxy or similar proxy/debugging tools for reviewing API calls made by the mobile application.
- Experience in the travel industry is a plus but not required.
