We’re looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to join our team and contribute to the improvement and further development of a business-critical Salesforce-based platform used in a large-scale B2B environment.

In this role, you’ll work on a live production system with integrations across Salesforce Commerce, Sage, and MuleSoft, helping resolve existing issues, improve core business flows, and support the ongoing evolution of the platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working with complex integrations, backend logic, and business-critical workflows in an established system.

About the project

Our client is a fast-growing U.S.-based company operating in the industrial packaging domain and serving businesses across the U.S. and Mexico. The company provides a wide range of packaging equipment and supplies and has a strong nationwide operational presence, supported by multiple locations and service facilities.

The project is a Salesforce-based portal with integrations across Salesforce Commerce, Sage, and MuleSoft. A full technical and QA audit has already been completed by our team, uncovering gaps in UX, functionality, performance, and backend logic. We are now looking for an engineer who can help address these issues, improve the platform’s core flows, and support the next stage of product development.

Technical stack

  • Salesforce / Salesforce Commerce
  • MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Sage ERP
  • Java / JavaScript / Node.js
  • SQL / relational databases
  • Git
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

What you’ll do

  • Support and enhance a Salesforce-based portal integrated with Salesforce Commerce, Sage, and MuleSoft
  • Fix existing issues related to backend logic, integrations, platform functionality, and performance
  • Improve and stabilize core business flows, especially around order and commerce-related processes
  • Design, update, and maintain integrations across Salesforce, MuleSoft, ERP, and third-party systems
  • Implement and optimize data synchronization flows, including retries, transformations, validation, and error handling
  • Work with Salesforce platform components, including Apex, APIs, metadata, and business logic
  • Contribute to improving the platform’s stability, maintainability, and observability
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to implement improvements based on audit findings
  • Participate in deployment, release, testing, and environment promotion processes
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and technical ownership materials
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, integration engineering, or solution-oriented platform development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce-based systems and integrations
  • Experience working with MuleSoft, including flows, connectors, transformations, and integration logic
  • Good understanding of ERP integrations, ideally with Sage or similar systems
  • Strong backend development skills in Java and/or JavaScript / Node.js
  • Practical experience with SQL, relational databases, ETL/data mapping, and system-to-system data flows
  • Experience troubleshooting and improving live production systems
  • Ability to work with existing codebases, understand legacy decisions, and gradually improve architecture and maintainability
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and testing practices
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce
  • Experience with B2B order workflows, invoicing, and customer/account data synchronization
  • Experience working on platforms after a technical audit or stabilization phase
  • Familiarity with payment, tax, shipping, or vendor integrations
  • Experience improving performance, reliability, and monitoring in distributed systems
  • Previous experience modernizing or restructuring underdocumented systems

Why you’ll enjoy working with us

  • Work on a business-critical platform that directly supports real operational workflows
  • Join a project where your contribution will have visible impact on product quality and platform stability
  • Take ownership of meaningful technical improvements rather than just routine maintenance
  • Be part of a team that values engineering quality, collaboration, and practical problem-solving
  • Contribute to the next stage of development for a platform with clear business importance

If you’re looking for a role where you can apply strong engineering skills to a real-world platform, solve complex integration challenges, and help improve a system that supports large-scale business operations, we’d be glad to meet you.
