Product Manager - New Business

Once someone was building Duolingo from scratch. Someone was writing the first line of code, coming up with the first lesson, finding the first user. We are here now, launching a new business within the SKELAR venture builder.

Over 1.8 billion people in the world are learning foreign languages, but less than 10% are able to speak them fluently. We are starting to build an interactive communication environment — AI Language Tutor — to speak and make mistakes without fear of judgment.

Our goal is to build a product that will learn along with the user — gathering data about them, personalizing the approach, and motivating them to take new steps. We do not believe in universal approaches to learning, but we know that algorithms will help the user learn in his own way of learning. And (finally) effectively.

This product still needs to be built. So if building something from scratch is about you, let's do it together?

SKELAR is a Ukrainian venture builder that builds international tech businesses. Together with co-founders, we assemble strong teams to win in global markets. Today, SKELAR has a dozen businesses in various niches — from EdTech to marketplaces. These are companies that make it into the rankings of top startups and product companies in Ukraine, hold the highest positions in the AppStore, and develop platforms used by millions of people.

Moreover, SKELAR businesses are covered by TechCrunch, Wired, and other global media.

Being in the first five members of the team today means directly deciding what this business will be. So we invite you to go on this journey with us.

You will take on a key role in launching our product (at the 0 to 1 stage) and finding Product-Market Fit. Your main goal will be to transform our vision — overcoming the language barrier using AI — into a convenient mobile application that creates real value for users and has a sustainable business model.

We are looking for a data-driven Product Manager who knows how to balance user needs and business goals, quickly test hypotheses, and interact effectively with development and marketing.

What you will need to do:
— Strategy and MVP: forming the product vision, backlog, and roadmap. Your first task is to define the critical minimum of features for the MVP launch and bring it to market as quickly as possible;
— Customer Development: constant communication with the target audience (quantitative and qualitative research), identifying insights regarding fears of communicating in a foreign language;
— Working with the team: close collaboration with the Head of Engineering, marketers, and designers;
— Monetization and Retention: developing and optimizing onboarding, improving the monetization model, and creating mechanics that will motivate users to return to the AI tutor every day; — Analytics: setting up product analytics from scratch, defining key success metrics (North Star Metric, LTV, CAC, Retention, CR), conducting A/B tests, and making data-driven decisions.

What we expect from you (Qualifications):
— Experience: 2+ years in a Product Manager position in B2C products; — Mobile-first expertise: experience in launching or developing mobile applications (iOS/Android);
— Analytical mindset: confident work with product analytics, understanding of unit economics, and the ability to draw conclusions from A/B tests;
— English language: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level or higher — the product is oriented toward the global market, so you will need to communicate with international partners;
— Startup Mindset: you know how to take responsibility for the result, adapt to frequent changes, and understand that the speed of launch is often more important than the perfection of the product.

Will be a big plus:
— Experience in the EdTech niche (specifically with language learning products);
— Experience working with AI / LLM technologies at the product integration level;
— Understanding of traffic acquisition principles (UA) for better synergy with marketing.

In addition to businesses, we develop the SKELAR foundation, a charitable fund created by the company's employees. Within the initiative, we create and finance projects that contribute to overcoming the consequences of the war and the recovery of Ukraine.

SKELAR is an environment for the self-realization of people who are capable of creating successful companies. We call such companies "the next big everything." We believe in their power and scale. We plan to continue developing product IT businesses, conquer global markets, and work for the victory of Ukraine

To do this, we have created all the opportunities within our venture builder: — 8 SKELAR Platform teams that ensure the operational efficiency of businesses: from recruiting and technical equipment to financial and legal architecture

Let's build the next big everything together!
