The Role: Trainee Project Manager

We are looking for a motivated and highly responsible Trainee Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about project management and technology and wants to start building a career in software development delivery.

As a Trainee Project Manager at Axon, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to learn how software projects are planned, managed, and delivered. You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, communication, documentation, and Agile practices while contributing to the success of real projects.

What You Will Do

  • Support Project Managers in coordinating software development projects and day-to-day team activities.
  • Assist in tracking project progress, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Help maintain project documentation and ensure information is up-to-date in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Participate in internal project meetings, prepare meeting notes, and follow up on action items.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project tasks and identify potential risks, blockers, or delays, escalating them to senior team members when necessary.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Assist with scope, change, and resource tracking under the guidance of experienced Project Managers.
  • Contribute to improving internal project management processes, documentation standards, and team workflows.
  • Learn project management best practices through hands-on participation in real software development projects.

What You Need for This Position

  • Strong interest in Project Management and Software Development.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and proactive mindset.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools will be a plus.
  • Relevant courses, certifications (e.g., Scrum Fundamentals, Google Project Management), internships, or university projects will be considered an advantage.
