About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their sales team. The SDR will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and scheduling meetings for the sales team.

This role requires a proactive sales professional who is comfortable with outbound prospecting, building relationships with potential clients, and engaging prospects through phone-based outreach. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, confidence in cold calling, and a proven ability to create sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email outreach, and targeted lead generation activities.
  • Contact, qualify, and nurture potential clients to create sales-ready opportunities for Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls and confidently engage prospects in business conversations.
  • Build relationships with potential clients, understand their needs, and effectively communicate the value of the company’s solutions.
  • Handle prospect questions, address objections, and maintain professional communication throughout the sales process.
  • Develop daily outreach plans, including call preparation, prospect research, messaging customization, and follow-up activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop targeted prospect lists and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technology solutions, and market developments to provide value during prospect interactions.
  • Track and report lead generation activities and results on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Performance Expectations & KPIs

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Completing approximately 100 outbound calls per day or 500 calls per week while maintaining consistent activity levels.
  • Generating qualified sales opportunities and scheduling meetings for the sales team.
  • Demonstrating strong performance in phone-based sales and cold calling activities.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and following established sales processes.
  • Consistently demonstrating company values, including Integrity, Respect, Flexibility, Self-Evaluation, Knowledge, and Compassion.

Candidate Profile

The most important requirement for this role is the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally in English.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong interpersonal skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a desire to continuously improve their sales abilities.

Candidates should be comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and engaging with prospects over the phone. Previous success in phone-based sales and cold calling is highly valued, as this role is primarily focused on direct prospect engagement rather than email-only outreach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or higher from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous experience as a Sales Development Representative, Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with outbound prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working with high-volume outbound sales activities.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with direct sourcing and prospecting new clients is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience prospecting insurance agents, general agents, or insurance carriers is an advantage.

Work Schedule

  • This position is open exclusively to candidates located in LATAM.
  • Candidates must be available to work according to U.S. business hours, aligned with EST/PST time zones.
