About the company

The company builds large-scale public data infrastructure for mission-critical organizations in cybersecurity, public safety, and digital risk protection.

Its production-grade data pipelines collect, structure, and deliver high-volume public web data, powering platforms that detect malicious actors, fraud, impersonation, and coordinated manipulation.

Rather than dashboards or surface-level insights, the company provides reliable data flows embedded directly into customers’ core products. Its technology helps protect major organizations and supports faster responses to real-world threats.

Operating globally across more than 20 countries, the company serves industry leaders that depend on its scale, reliability, and data depth.

Why join?

The company has been profitable and fully bootstrapped since day one. It is growing rapidly while building foundational technology rather than following short-term trends.

The work requires strong engineering discipline, ownership, and long-term thinking. As part of its R&D expansion, Kraków is becoming a key engineering hub responsible for core systems and the company’s next stage of innovation and growth.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the infrastructure team, reporting directly to the DevOps Team Leader. This role will partner with engineering leadership to drive advanced infrastructure initiatives end-to-end—from system design through production hardening — setting the technical bar for operational excellence across the company.

The immediate challenge: The company operates a high-volume, multi-account AWS. You will solve complex delivery, scaling, and operational problems along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Cloud & Migration Strategy: Work under the guidance of our DevOps Team Leader to architect and execute our migration from ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS) without downtime, while maintaining our existing cloud estate.
  • Advance Infrastructure as Code: Design and implement modern, modular IaC frameworks utilizing Terraform and OpenTofu to ensure consistent, multi-environment deployments.
  • Architect Enterprise CI/CD: Evolve our delivery pipelines (GitHub Actions, OIDC federation) at scale, reducing developer friction and elevating deployment safety across dozens of services.
  • Scale Data-Intensive Infrastructure: Oversee the performance, capacity, and resilience of our high-volume data layer (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, RDS, Redis) and event-driven messaging pipelines.
  • Enforce Reliability & Observability: Enforce organization-wide reliability standards using open, modern telemetry stacks (OpenTelemetry, Coralogix, Grafana), ensuring on-call operations are driven by signal, not noise.
  • Balance Growth & Governance: Make high-impact technical tradeoff decisions that balance velocity, least-privilege security, zero-trust access (Tailscale), and FinOps cost efficiency.
  • Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineering experience, with real production ownership in high-throughput, data-intensive environments.
  • Deep Cloud Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS architectures, including compute, networking (VPC, DNS, segmentation), IAM, and scalability patterns.
  • Production Kubernetes Mastery: Strong, hands-on expertise designing, running, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (EKS) at production scale under heavy load.
  • IaC & Automation Proficiency: Expert-level experience with Terraform and solid scripting/software engineering skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, plus confident Bash.
  • Container & Pipeline Ownership: Deep familiarity with container workloads (ECS/Docker) and modern CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions) using safe rollout strategies.
  • Observability at Scale: Proven track record of designing and operating robust observability and alerting stacks (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs).
  • Collaborative Leadership: Pragmatic, clear communicator who thrives in a high-velocity, autonomous team environment and builds trust through sound technical judgment.
  • Nice to Have
  • Direct experience leading an ECS-to-Kubernetes migration in a production environment.
  • Deep knowledge of EKS ecosystem tooling (Karpenter, ArgoCD/Flux, KEDA, VPC CNI).
  • Experience operating analytical or wide-column databases at scale (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB).
