GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced Automation Test Lead (Automotive) to join our engineering team.

We are looking for talented engineers to join our team in the development of forward-looking solutions for highly interconnected automotive software features.

In this role, as a Senior or Lead Automotive Test Automation Engineer, you will help the team in design and development of the embedded software for the electronic control units of the cars, as well as related tools and frameworks. Our team is responsible for development, integration and validation of multiple Middleware applications and services for the current and the next generation car lines. We work in areas of remote software update, telematics & connectivity, context-aware systems, and application platforms. We are committed to modern development methodologies and tools like continuous integration, agile development, and test automation to design and implement innovative and high-quality software.

As part of our dynamic and agile team, you will ensure robustness, performance, and security aspects within the software design.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven extensive Python scripting and test automation experience
• Advanced user experience with Linux, in depth knowledge of Linux internals
• Experience in analysing and debugging SW issues, crash dump analysis
• Experience in analyses of feature technical specifications and proposing test cases based on it and based on discussion with developers
• Good understanding of networking concepts and configuring TCP/IP based systems
• Experience in Automotive
• Ability to communicate in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Automotive Infotainment Systems
• Experience with Diagnosis (ISO14229, UDS)
• Experience in remote target testing
• Experience with Test Rack maintenance
• Ability to understand existing, complex, modern C++ v17 code

Responsibilities:

• Test development and execution, problem analysis and ticket management
• Identifying weaknesses and problem areas in the software
• Suggesting automated software test procedures
• Tracking software bugs and investigating the causes
• Developing tests and automation scripts
• Troubleshooting software issues
• Preparing detailed test reports
• Conducting regression testing when needed
• Monitoring assurance metrics and process results
