We are looking for a SRE Engineer to contribute to the development of a fintech service tailored for EU clients. We expect a new team member to work independently and proactively (look for details and answers, not just wait patiently for a reply), and be comfortable raising challenges and proposing software improvements. It is vital that you have good communication skills and a proven ability to work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Project description An innovative fintech platform transforms how consumers manage finances and purchases using BNPL. It offers seamless payment solutions, integrating online and in-store shopping with various merchants. It provides its users with flexible payment options, real-time spending insights, and robust security measures, enhancing their financial management and shopping experiences.

Team quantity: Currently there is 3 concurrent squads who are managing product features with the total number of 30 engineers.

What technologies do we use on our projects? Python 3.11, Django, Celery, Docker, Kubernetes Amazon Web Services (EKS, ELB, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda).

YOUR BACKGROUND

Experience with AWS (at least 1-2 years)
Experience with Kubernetes, including Helm and NGINX ingress controller
Experience with Postgresql
Proficiency in Github actions, jenkins piplines.
Experience with datadog, sentry, alerts configuration
Skilled in building Docker-based deployments
Proficient in configuring Unix-based systems

Skills that will be a plus:

Configurations versioning using Ansible
Proficiency in IaC, including terraform
Ability to use Vault for secrets management
Experience with openvpn server
Experience with Argo CD
Experience with any of the following: Kafka, Django, RabbitMQ, Celery, Python

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and provide operational support for full-stack software applications.
Collaborate with development operations staff to create, monitor, and troubleshoot the system infrastructure.
Increase system resilience and serve larger customer volumes with expert-level coding, bulletproof release, and change management skills.
Improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability.
Collect operating system data and report performance metrics to stakeholders.
Manage cloud and database system maintenance, debugging production issues as they arise.
