Senior Manual QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our team. You will be working on an advanced platform that empowers Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to maintain vigilance over their customers’ attack surfaces.  

The platform automates the detection of misconfigurations, supports audits and assessments, and eliminates risks caused by unknown changes. It’s designed to streamline IT operations by automating asset discovery, inventory, and documentation, all while enhancing security and compliance. 

As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the platform delivers the highest level of performance and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track issues while ensuring that all deliverables meet the platform’s high quality standards. 

Responsibilities: 

• Test planning & strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements, ensuring test coverage across all platform functionalities, from automated asset discovery to security and compliance auditing 
• Manual testing: Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications, focusing on features that help MSPs detect misconfigurations, automate assessments, and manage security across multiple systems 
• Bug reporting & tracking: Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting of issues 
• Regression testing: Execute regression testing to ensure that changes do not impact key platform functionalities, such as real-time security monitoring and proactive alerts 
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and quality expectations 
• Test case management: Create, maintain, and optimize test cases, ensuring they reflect the platform’s automation capabilities, reporting tools, and auditing functions 
• Quality assurance: Ensure the platform meets the highest quality standards, focusing on system security, compliance, and user experience 
• Continuous improvement: Provide feedback and contribute to improving QA processes, methodologies, and tools 

What you’ll need: 

• Proven experience as a Senior Manual QA Engineer, with expertise in identifying and resolving software defects 
• Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and manual testing methodologies, particularly for platforms with security, compliance, and automation features 
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar 
• Experience in web and mobile application testing, focusing on IT operations, system security, and compliance 
• Strong multitasking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders 
• Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman is a plus 
• Experience in IT management or related software is beneficial 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for manual testing of the platform, ensuring the accuracy of its automated asset discovery, security monitoring, and auditing features 
• Identify, document, and track bugs, collaborating with developers to resolve issues and retest fixes 
• Perform regression testing to ensure that changes to the codebase do not negatively impact security and compliance functionalities 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project timelines and quality standards are met 
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies, providing feedback and suggestions for enhancement 
• Ensure the platform meets high standards for functionality, security, performance, and usability
