We are looking for a skilled Integrations Developer to build and maintain high-quality integrations between Trelica and hundreds of other software tools using APIs.
Remote (EU) – Full-time/part-time – Flexible schedule – Employment
Trelica is a tech start-up with team members distributed across the UK, US, and Switzerland.
Weʼre operating in the SaaS management space, which is a new and rapidly expanding market focussed on helping businesses get the most from the various Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) apps theyʼre using (think Zoom, Salesforce, Slack).
Since launching our product in early 2021, weʼve gained customers across North America, Europe, and Asia. Weʼre looking for great people to help shape and deliver our continued growth.
- Office location: Cambridge
- Company: ~24 people
- Team: 7 people. 2 Integration developers.
- Team’s location: UK, US, EU
- Customers: from North America, Europe and Asia
Trelicaʼs product connects to several hundred SaaS platforms using APIs. Good quality integrations are essential to our productʼs success.
You will be technically minded, but also curious and insightful, with a good grasp of how other applications we connect to might be working. API documentation is sometimes limited, so the ability to test out another application to develop a broader context is needed (for example, what are the likely consequences of deactivating a user account?.
Integrations are written in Typescript, but aside from the ability to write clear, clean code, the role requires you to think beyond purely technical issues.
As well as creating integrations, you will need to explain technicalities and quirks of other products to help the integrations team create documentation and appropriate guidance for customers.
Integration code often touches on the core Trelica product, and the objective of the role is to let someone incrementally build understanding of our core product architecture and take on larger product tasks if they wish.
Ability
- Building software with modern web technologies, including Typescript or similar libraries, as well as back-end architectures.
- Learning new technologies quickly, knowing when to proceed alone, and when to ask for assistance from someone more experienced.
- Refactoring code in a confident way, whilst sticking to a deadline.
Teamwork
- Working with other developers to think through tasks and estimate them, whilst working on your own to update others on progress and flag issues.
- The maturity to adjust personal coding styles and preferences to fit adopted patterns and conventions, whilst having the confidence to see when these conventions are strained or can be practically improved.
- Accepting constructive feedback and learning from it.
Security and Quality
- The ability to read a user-story, probe for potential imprecision in the story, explore potential issues with other team members, and then deliver functionality to match the nuances of the story.
- Adherence to quality and security processes (e.g. writing tests, security reviews).
- 2+ years of commercial web development experience (Typescript / Javascript)
- Awareness of modern Javascript frameworks, ideally React, but Vue or Angular translates well
- Strong understanding of APIs and integrations
- Understanding of NoSQL and SQL databases. Experience with MongoDB is a benefit
- Back-end is mostly .NET Core, written in C#. Direct experience is helpful but people with a background in other web development technologies would transition easily.
- Familiarity with version control systems, ideally Git
- Strong verbal and written English language skills
- Ability to explain complex software concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills
