Senior QA Automation Engineer

PLVision is looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with experience in test automation using Python and/or Ansible, knowledge of Linux, strong troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of networking protocols. In this role, you will contribute to our new project focused on integrating and enhancing the SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) network operating system for the client’s hardware platform. This initiative is part of the company’s new product launch and aims to establish a robust foundation for developing and maintaining the SONiC software ecosystem.

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will build and maintain a stable test environment to ensure regular quality evaluation of networking products, expand test coverage for new features, and test SONiC/SAI software across various platforms. You are also expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues and contribute to the continuous improvement our testing processes.

Vacancy responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a stable test environment to enable regular quality evaluation of networking products
• Expand test coverage to include new product features
• Test SONiC/SAI software across various platforms
• Analyze requirements and review Test Plan/Test Case documents
• Execute test regressions for the product line and maintain detailed test result documentation to support debugging and software modifications
• Create and implement new test suites and cases to expand regression coverage for new features and protocols
• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and testing programs
• Build tools and scripts to automate build and test environments
• Assist the engineering team with build issues, troubleshooting dependencies, and resolving incremental build differences
• Maintain and support systems and tools required for software building, integration, and testing 

Vacancy requirements:

• Experience in test automation using Python and/or Ansible
• Extensive knowledge of Linux and strong Linux troubleshooting skills
• Deep understanding of networking protocols, including Layer 2 or Layer 3 implementation and TCP socket programming
• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Testing
• Technical English proficiency at an Intermediate level or higher
